Often voted the most conservative member of the Michigan legislature, Jim is running for Chair of the Michigan Republican Party to lead with transparency, accountability, and integrity. His focus is on a forward-looking approach to revitalize the party and establish a foundation built on trust and unity, not on criticizing past leadership.
For too long, the party has been hindered by a system where political consultants prioritize profit over principle, often charging fees that far exceed industry norms—upwards of 45% instead of the standard 05–10%. These self-serving consultants have drained resources that could have been used to advance Republican ideals in Michigan.

Leading the Michigan State Party requires a deep understanding of the diverse Republican organizations and governmental structure. He started as a grassroots activist, rallying conservatives and eventually revitalizing the North Oakland Republican Club, growing it into one of Michigan’s most active Republican organizations.
Jim then served on the Oakland County Commission and later in the state legislature, ranking among the most conservative in various surveys. This journey—from local government to state leadership—has equipped him with the experience to navigate the complexities of the party and address the needs of Republicans across Michigan.
